Hannescamps Churchyard, France
From 3rd to 9th October, 1915, the 13th King’s Royal Rifle Corps of 111 Brigade, 37th Division, were in the front line at Hannescamps, a few miles to the south-west of Arras. The Battalion Diary goes into no other detail about their six day stay here so it is not known how Leonard Cannell was killed on 4th October but it was likely to have been as a result of shell fire. |
